Those rare, dramatic moments that have profound effects on lives, they are fleeting moments like the light of a shooting star streaking across the darkness of space.

They are the kind of moments we all travel in search of.

The reality is that we all live, rushed off our feet, under pressure from work, and under pressure in our personal lives, with no time to even think.

This home in Kumano allows visitors to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to spend a moment of relaxation, the kind of moment in which we may see a shooting star streaking across the sky. The home was named after such moments, which we cherish.

A form of hospitality in which we do nothing.

This is the closest vacation rental to Oyunohara, the former site of Kumano Hongu Taisha at one end of the “Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range,” a World Heritage site.

It is one minute on foot to the large “torii” shrine gate shown in this photo, and every room is quiet, offering views of the beautiful rural landscape, the mountains of the sacred site of Kumano, and the “torii” shrine gate.

Moreover, it is a mere three-minute walk to the entrance of the current Kumano Hongu Taisha.

It is a very convenient location for not only visiting Kumano Hongu Taisha, but also for accessing Kumano Kodo, including the Nakahechi Route, the Kohechi Route, the Omine Okugake-michi, and Kogumotorigoe.

Come and spend quality time by walking Kumano Kodo in the land of rejuvenation on your pilgrimage to the three main Kumano shrines.

How to Spend Time at Mindful House “Hoshi-no Jikan (The Time of the Stars)”

“Mindfulness” is a general term used to describe the method in which the brain relaxes through meditation.

We offer visitors the following four pieces of advice to ensure maximum spiritual fulfillment during their stay.

  1. 就寝2時間前には、デジタルデバイスから離れる
Stop using all digital devices for two hours before going to sleep.
  2. 瞑想の部屋にて、自由な時間に一日10分は呼吸を意識して瞑想する
Spend at least 10 minutes a day meditating during your free time in the meditation room and concentrate on your breathing.
  3. 目覚めに、陽の光を浴びる(朝陽を浴びる広いデッキを設置)
Bathe yourself in sunlight after waking up (a large deck has been set up to allow bathing in the morning sunlight).
  4. 朝早くに、サイレントウォーキング(無になって熊野を歩く)
Go for a silent walk (blank out your mind and walk around Kumano) early in the morning.
